1996-2000: The PS1 Era

The Era of Naughty Dog, Crash Bandicoot's creator. This includes the four Naughty Dog Crash Bandicoot games, as well as some obscure third-party works.

Crash Bandicoot

The first game, released for the PlayStation in 1996.

Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back

The second game, released for the PlayStation in 1997.

Crash Bandicoot: Ezone.com Games

Three games released to promote Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. Ezone was commissioned to make these games:

• Crash Ball: A Pong clone.
• Crash Invaders: A Space Invaders clone.
• CrashOut: A BreakOut clone.
• Unnamed Slider Puzzle: This was made by Ezone but the source files have not been preserved, and it is likely to have never actually been released.

Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped

The third game, released for the PlayStation in 1998. In North America, it's simply known as "Crash Bandicoot: Warped".

CTR: Crash Team Racing

A kart racer (similar to Mario Kart), released for the PlayStation in 1999.

Crash Bash

A party game, released for the PlayStation in 2000.
